How to attach PDFs, images, files, and spreadsheets to an opportunity from its detail page including when to use each card and how signing flows connect.
Every opportunity's detail page has dedicated cards for attaching content Documents, Images, Files, and Spreadsheets sitting in the right-hand sidebar. This article explains what each card is for, how to add content to them, and how to remove attachments when you no longer need them.
Open any opportunity at https://app.trustpager.com/crm/opportunities, pick one, and scroll the right sidebar to find these cards between the Status and Tasks sections.
Visibility: Everything attached via these cards is visible to every workspace member who can see the opportunity. For ACL-restricted sharing (e.g. sensitive payslips that only some team members should see), use the Secure Files area at https://app.trustpager.com/tools/files with a folder-level ACL instead.
Click Add Document on the Documents card. A dropdown gives you three choices:
All three options land the document in the card. From there you can preview, download, or send it for e-signing using the per-row action menu.
Click Add Image on the Images card and drag in an image file or click to browse. The image is stored against the opportunity and visible to your team in a grid layout.
Click Add File on the Files card and drag in any file or click to browse. Any mime type is accepted this is the right card for payslips, ID photos, bank statements, broker submission packs, and anything else that doesn't fit Documents or Images.
Click Link Spreadsheet on the Spreadsheets card and pick from your existing spreadsheets. A spreadsheet links to at most one opportunity at a time. To create the spreadsheet first, head to https://app.trustpager.com/tools/spreadsheets, build it there, then come back to link it.
Use the per-row action menu on any attached document, image, file, or spreadsheet to remove it from the opportunity. Removing detaches the item the underlying file stays in your workspace's library unless you also choose to delete it. Removing a linked spreadsheet just unlinks it; the spreadsheet itself is preserved.
If you're working through Claude or another connected agent, the MCP tool set covers every card on the opportunity sidebar. A common one-shot workflow:
Ask Claude: "Upload payslip.pdf and attach it to Sarah's home loan opportunity."
Claude will callupload_file, thenadd_opportunity_filewith the returned ID same result as drag-and-drop in the UI, but from a single instruction.
To see the full curated index of every tool available on opportunities (CRUD, sub-resources, activities, common workflows, field hints), ask your agent to call describe_resource('opportunity'). It's faster than scanning the full tool list and stays in sync as we ship new tools.
