Viewing the CRM Audit Log

How to use the CRM audit log to see a full history of field changes on your opportunities, contacts, and customers.

The CRM audit log gives you a complete, timestamped history of every field change made across your opportunities, contacts, and customers. It's useful for understanding what changed, when, and why — whether you're troubleshooting a data issue or reviewing your team's activity.

Viewing all changes

Go to https://app.trustpager.com/data/crm-logs to see a full log of CRM field changes across your workspace. Each row shows:

  • The record that was changed (opportunity, contact, or customer)
  • Which field was updated
  • The old value and the new value
  • Who or what made the change
  • When it happened

Understanding the "Changed by" column

Each log entry shows a source for the change. Here's what each one means:

  • User — a team member made the change manually inside the app.
  • Automation — an automation that ran updated the field.
  • API — the change came in via an API key, typically from an integration or agent.
  • Import — the field was set during a CSV or bulk import.
  • System — an internal platform process updated the field (for example, a calculated field refreshing).

Filtering the log

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow down by record type, date range, or the source of the change. This is handy when you want to check what an automation touched, or review all changes made during a specific period.

Viewing changes for a specific record

You can also see the audit history for a single opportunity, contact, or customer directly on its detail page. Open the record and look for the History tab — it shows the same log data filtered to that record only.

Who can see the log

The CRM audit log is visible to workspace admins and users with the appropriate data access permissions. If you can't see the Data section in your sidebar, check your role with your workspace admin.
