Whiteboards are a visual workspace built into TrustPager. You can map out any kind of diagram — a sales pipeline, fulfilment workflow, marketing funnel, team structure, or anything else — and your AI agents can generate them from a plain-English description in seconds.

What you can build
Whiteboards use a drag-and-drop canvas (Excalidraw-based) that supports rectangles, ellipses, diamonds, arrows, lines, and text. You can create them two ways:
- From a template — pick one of the built-in starting points and customise from there.
- With AI — describe what you want in plain English and the AI generates the full diagram for you.
Built-in templates
Click Create New Whiteboard on the Whiteboards page to open the template picker. The built-in options are:
- Marketing Funnel
- Sales Pipeline Map
- Fulfilment Workflow
- Website Wireframe
- Business Process Map
- Team Structure
- Campaign Planner
Select any template and it opens immediately in the whiteboard builder at https://app.trustpager.com/whiteboard-builder/ where you can drag elements, add text, change colours, and rearrange shapes.
Generate a whiteboard with AI
If none of the templates fit, choose Create with AI from the template picker.
- Type a plain-English description of the diagram you need — for example: "A client onboarding flow with five stages: enquiry, scoping call, proposal, signed, kickoff. Include a Lost branch off scoping. Blue theme."
- Click Generate Whiteboard. The AI will produce a full set of shapes, arrows, and labels.
- Once generated, the whiteboard opens in the builder where you can tweak anything.
The more specific your description, the better the result. Include the number of stages or steps, the flow direction, any branching paths, and a colour preference if you have one.
Managing your whiteboards
All whiteboards you create appear as cards on https://app.trustpager.com/operations/whiteboards. Hover a card to reveal the ... menu, which lets you Duplicate or Delete it.
Click any card to reopen the whiteboard in the builder.
Using whiteboards via the AI agent (MCP)
If you have an AI agent set up, it can generate and save whiteboards directly using the ai_generate_whiteboard tool. Pass a plain-language prompt describing the diagram — the agent handles the rest and saves it to your workspace automatically.
Permissions
Whiteboards require the whiteboards:read scope to view and whiteboards:write to create or delete. AI generation also requires the ai:use scope. Manage roles at https://app.trustpager.com/settings/permissions.
