How to create, edit, and link accounts (organisations) in the CRM connect contacts, track opportunities, and build a complete picture of every business relationship.
Accounts represent the businesses and organisations behind your contacts. Where a contact is a person, an account is the company they work for — a client, prospect, partner, or supplier. Every opportunity, contact, and piece of communication can be connected to an account, giving you a complete picture of your relationship with that organisation.
Access Accounts at https://app.trustpager.com/crm/accounts.
The accounts list shows every organisation in your workspace. Search by name, email, phone, or website. The list displays each account's name, industry, and how many contacts and opportunities are linked to it — useful for spotting your most active relationships at a glance.
Click New Account in the top-right corner of https://app.trustpager.com/crm/accounts. Fill in what you know — you don't need everything upfront. Core fields include:
Custom fields configured in your CRM settings will also appear here, so you can capture anything specific to your business.
Click any account to open its detail page. You'll see:
This layout means you can see the full picture of a business relationship without jumping between screens.
A contact can be linked to an account to record their employer. From the contact's detail page, set their Employer field to the relevant account. Once linked, the contact appears under that account's Contacts tab, and the account appears in the contact's profile as their employer.
You can also link a contact to an account directly from the account detail page using the Add Contact button in the Contacts section.
Opportunities can be associated with an account, which is useful when you're managing multiple opportunities with the same organisation. From any opportunity, you can set the linked account — and from the account detail page, all connected opportunities are visible in one place. This makes it easy to see the total value of your relationship with a business, not just a single deal.
An account can be marked as a customer, a supplier, or both. This lets you use the same account record for an organisation you sell to and buy from — useful for businesses with dual relationships. Filter the accounts list by type to quickly see your customer base or supplier list.
Tip: Use the Industry field consistently across your accounts. Once your data is clean, you can filter accounts by industry, segment email campaigns, and build reports that compare performance across sectors.
