How to create product buckets on an opportunity to group your line items by room, area, or category — with per-bucket subtotals on the products card, invoices, and estimate PDFs.
Product Buckets let you group the line items on an opportunity into named sections — things like Main Bathroom, Ensuite, Kitchen, or Stage 1. Each bucket shows its own subtotal, and those groupings carry through to invoices and the rendered estimate PDF. The same product can appear in multiple buckets with independent quantities.
Open any opportunity at https://app.trustpager.com/crm/opportunities and scroll to the Products section. Click + Add Product Bucket in the card header, type a name, and press Enter. The bucket appears immediately as a labelled section above the ungrouped products.
You can create as many buckets as you need. There is no limit per opportunity.
Each line item has a small bucket pill on the right side of the row. Click it to open a dropdown of your buckets and pick one. The line item moves under that bucket's heading and is included in its subtotal. To move a product to a different bucket, click the pill again and choose another. To remove the assignment entirely, choose Remove from bucket at the bottom of the dropdown.
Products that are not assigned to any bucket appear below the bucketed groups.
Hover over any bucket heading to reveal the rename and delete controls. Click the pencil icon to rename inline — press Enter or click away to save. Click the bin icon to remove the bucket. Removing a bucket does not delete the products inside it; they drop back into the unassigned pool.
If you use the same room or area names regularly, you can save them as presets in CRM Settings so they are ready to pick from a list instead of typing each time. Go to https://app.trustpager.com/settings/crm, find the Product Bucket Labels section, and add your standard names. These appear as suggestions when you create a new bucket on an opportunity.
When you generate an invoice or an estimate PDF from an opportunity, the bucketed groupings carry across automatically. Each section renders with its label, the line items beneath it, and the per-bucket subtotal. The overall total remains unchanged.
