Set Up a Team WhatsApp Number for Your Workspace

Designate one connected WhatsApp number as the workspace's shared team number so all outbound messages and automations go from one place.

TrustPager lets your workspace send all WhatsApp messages from one shared number. Once a team member has connected their WhatsApp and an admin has designated it as the team number, every manual send from the Inbox and every automated WhatsApp message goes out from that number consistently.

There are two steps: the team member connects their WhatsApp from their personal account page, then the workspace admin designates that number on the WhatsApp settings page.

Step 1: Connect your WhatsApp (team member)

Go to https://app.trustpager.com/account/connect and click Connect WhatsApp on the WhatsApp card. A QR code will appear. On your phone, open WhatsApp, go to Settings (iOS) or the three-dot menu (Android), tap Linked Devices, then Link a Device, and scan the QR code. The card updates to show your number and a green connected status once pairing is complete.

Step 2: Designate the team number (admin)

Go to https://app.trustpager.com/settings/whatsapp. The page lists every connected WhatsApp number in your workspace. Select the number you want to use as the team number and save. From that point, all outbound WhatsApp sends (from the Inbox and from automations) go from that number, and the WhatsApp Inbox shows only that number's chats.

Only one team number per workspace. To switch to a different number, connect the new phone at https://app.trustpager.com/account/connect, then return to https://app.trustpager.com/settings/whatsapp and select the new number.

If the team number becomes disconnected

If the paired phone is replaced or the link drops, sends show a clear message letting users know the number is disconnected, with a prompt to reconnect at https://app.trustpager.com/account/connect. Once the number is reconnected (or a new number is connected), an admin re-selects the live number at https://app.trustpager.com/settings/whatsapp to restore normal sending.
